Archer Lewis Michael Abou-zeid It is with a sense of overwhelming joy and gratitude to God that we can now announce the birth of our 5th boy Archer Lewis Michael Abou-zeid.
This boy of ours has been a welcomed surprise right from the start and has continued to surprise us during his time in the womb. He was in the breach position twice and both times decided to correct himself without medical intervention… clever little ratbag.
Weight – 8 pounds Length – 52cm The other stuff, I don’t know as yet!
MEANING OF HIS NAME
Never before have we agonized over a name as much as this one, actually we only just confirmed his name 6 days before he was born.
Archer – Genuine and bold one. The names meaning is meant to signify the strength and solidarity of one’s Christian faith.
Lewis – Famous Warrior, continuing with the strength and solidarity theme the name Lewis in the 8th century was common among royalty and kings. This speaks to our hope of leadership on his life
Michael – Who is like God, Now for us this is a bit exciting, as he will bear the name of his Pa Michael Hill who is a great example of a life lived for God.
Abou-zeid – Honesty, I’ve got no idea what our surname means aside from son of Zeid but this presents an opportunity for us to make this name significant and encourage Archer to live a life full of Godly Character and integrity. How the name came about. I was playing a game on my iPhone called clash of clans and one night randomly said to my wife Archer or Dragon, thinking whatever answer she gives me will be the troops that I train for my digital army. Instead she thought I was suggesting suitable baby names and replied Archer, so after much thought prayer and consideration Archer it is. Not that anyone knows that as I am writing this in the labor ward with the expectation that he will be born TODAY (May the 4th at 9:43pm)
We are very proud to be able to call him our child and full of joy at his arrival. Such Joy has filled our hearts not because our baby is EVERYTHING to us… because he isn’t, he is adorable and yep we love him like mad but more importantly his birth points us to a good and faithful God that allows us to enjoy such blessings in our life and so in God our Joy finds it’s home. Thank-you God for giving us this awesome kid and thanks for loving us so much that we in turn can love baby Archer so much.

Archer is beautiful, what a delightful little man with a strong and meaningful name. He is a treasure and you are very blessed with a “quiver” full 🙂
